How to Remove Wine Stains from Carpet Tampa FL

This video gives you a brief tutorial on how to remove wine stains from carpet, but there is a better way. As a carpet cleaner in Tampa FL I remove wine stains from upholstery and carpet on a regular basis.  I use specialized professional strength carpet and upholstery cleaners to remove wine stains from soft surfaces.  The good news is that you can take care of a wine spill in your own home if you clean it right away.  In the video they show you how to clean a fresh wine spill using baking soda and water.  Baking soda is an effective cleaner and can be used on carpet spots, but I find that you never really get all the baking soda out of the carpet and I don't like the idea of leaving residues behind.

I recommend cleaning with carbonated water instead. Carbonated water is a great wine remover.  If your at a party and someone spills wine on the carpet or furniture, garb the seltzer bottle and get to work.

  1. First towel up as much of the spilled wine as possible. Remember to blot the spot, don't rub.
  2. Pour the seltzer, carbonated, or sparkling water on the wine spots.  and let it sit for about 30 seconds.
  3. Blot up the carbonated water with a clean fresh towel.
  4. If there is any wine still visible in the carpet add 4-5 drops of dish washing soap to the carbonated water and steps 2 thru 4 again.

If the spots don't come out it might be time to call a professional carpet cleaner who knows how to remove wine stains from carpet.
